Common questions
Are you licensed in my state?
I'm licensed in 31 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming. See my license for your state. If yours isn't listed, call anyway and I'll point you in the right direction.
Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. Agents are paid by the insurance company when you enroll, and Marketplace plans cost the same whether you use an agent or not.
Is the 60-second price real?
It's an estimate based on HealthCare.gov data for your ZIP code, ages and income. Your final price depends on your application. I'll confirm the real numbers with you.
What's the difference between Marketplace and private plans?
Marketplace plans follow ACA rules, cover pre-existing conditions and can come with income-based tax credits. Private plans are sold outside the Marketplace and are not ACA plans: they're medically underwritten, approval isn't guaranteed, they may not cover pre-existing conditions, and they don't come with tax credits.
What if I missed Open Enrollment?
A life change like losing coverage, moving, turning 26 or having a baby can open a Special Enrollment Period, usually 60 days. See the life changes that count.
